512 layer hand forged, tempered, hand filed, etched damascus steel. Random pattern of the layers gives you even more of an opportunity for a unique, one of a kind creation. The Japanese sword has long been considered one of the finest sword designs around, and now its even better in damascus. The tang has a traditional key hole to secure the grip ­ so you re free to follow traditional designs, or of course, you can give your imagination free play. An outstanding bargain! The random damascus pattern is very deeply etched, insuring beautiful configurations with no pattern fading. Overall­35 5/8". Blade­27 1/2", 11/16" wide and 3/16" thick. Wt. 1 1/2 lbs.

Since most Samurai blade reproductions are based on the actual weapons made suitable for those diminutive warriors (we, of course, would not call them diminutive to their faces), they are not so suitable for taller folks. This katana blade is made to "modern" proportions, a full 37" overall. 29" blade. 13/16" wide and 3/16" thick. Wt.­1.9 lbs. Hand-forged by Windlass Steelcrafts® of high carbon steel that will take a razor edge.
