Shakespeare Independent Study
Objectives:
Students do an independent 'close- reading' of a section of a Shakespearean Drama.
Students present their findings in a hyper-text format.
Rationale:
Shakespeare 's works are so rich in meaning; it is easy to be overwhelmed by the layers of literary/ historical references, imagery, puns, irony, etc. This exercise is intended to help students organize their ideas about the texts and encourage deeper readings. It also encourages a multi-media approach to interpretation of Shakespeare. His work affects us on so many levels; our responses should be as rich and varied.Project Instructions
