Naming Directories
When I subscribed to Angelfire,
I was given the opportunity to name my directory. I named it isushake,
as I was intending to use the site for my Shakespeare Independent Study
students.
Now that I have expanded
my site's uses, the directory name has lost its usefulness.
It's very difficult to know
- at the beginning of any web page project- just what the web page will
become. Choosing a directory name that fits can be tricky.
Here are some considerations:

keep it simple- short
and sweet, and all lower case and no weird symbols.

give it some kind of meaning-
it is much easier to remember that way
-
try to let that meaning
be expansive rather than limiting to one particular interest or use. you
will, after all, have your file names to help you further define the page's
focus.
