Links
Most educational websites
I come across have huge pages of links. I get all shivery at the thought
of the wonderful lesson plans and resources that await me, and then I realize
that the majority of these links take me to pages with more links, promising
more wonderful resources and lessons. This is tiresome and unhelpful. Yet,
maintaining a decent links page is a time-consuming project- and we're
all supposed to be spending more time in the classroom, right? (lazy teachers...)
So, with the preceeding
disclaimer, I offer the following two links resources.
1. The
Streamlined Snazzy oh so helpful Links Page.
-this page will be well-organized, well-maintained, and will contain NO
links to pages of other links... and it will be up shortly.
The Unexpurgated Version of Parrish Links
- this is a more loosely ordered assortment of the links I come across
in my
daily work. No guarantees here, but if you dig, you may find some really
good stuff.
A final note. I start any search for any educational materials on the Web in one place:
Kathy Schrock's Guide to Educators.
This site is well-organized,
well-maintained and was snapped up by the Discovery Channel's Educational
Website. Most of the best resources I have found were at the end of a trail
which began at Schrock's site... note.. there are a number of links to
pages of more links here.. but it's worth sifting through.
