Welcome to our Captive Reef!

We keep a wide array of critters from the ocean. We have living corals, like Acropora and Palythoa, Fish from the Wrasse and Basslet families, various snails, worms, polyps and crustaceans. Just as the reefs in nature

are dynamic, always changing their shapes and make-ups, our reef is a work in progress, so visit us often!

The history of our 58 gallon reef tank dates back to the fall of '99, a whole century ago! We bought a 45 gallon saltwater tank from a neighbor who was moving and didn't want to move the tank. We really didn't know what we had, or how to take care of our animals, but we knew we loved the tank and its inhabitants. We all fell asleep in front of the tank that night. along the way around, we will try to pass along the lessons we learned the hard way, as well as the knowledge we gained from our friends at Reef Central, an internet family of reef aquarists from around the world.

Hopefully you can pick up something you can use to help you, or just enjoy the pictures here. Either way, how bout lettin us know what you think by dropping in on our guestbook and leaving a comment?. We would really appreciate it.

Above, you will find a Navbar to help you find your way around
