Artist's Statement
Carol is the owner of Sew What Fabrics and Batiks, Etc. in Wytheville, VA. She has been an avid seamstress since childhood and makes quilts because she loves the color, texture and feel of fabric. Cutting, sewing and designing with color satisfies her creative urges. Quilting provides an avenue of artistic expression and a wonderful sense of accomplishment- an entire process that fascinates with its intricacies of pattern and design. Most of her quilts involve diagonal movement of value and color.
