1973 Chevy Vega

Bryan's 1973 Chevrolet Vega bracket car!



Technical Stuff:

Engine: 360 (350 +.060) cubic inch small block Chevy with approximately 13:1 compression, 2.02 intake, 1.60 exhaust valved Edelbrock aluminum heads with porting and polishing by Ron Anderson of Ron's Precision Machine in Stratford Ontario Canada. Edelbrock Victor Jr. Single plane high-rise intake w/ Barry Grant Silver Claw 850 alcohol carburetor.

Transmission: GM 2 speed Powerglide by Killer Racing and Neal Chance two piece convertor stalling at approx. 5000 RPM.


Rearend: 12 bolt Chevy with Strange spool and 4.88:1 gears.



Suspension: Rear suspension is a ladder bar style with Strange coilovers. Front suspension is stock 1973 Chev Vega with drag struts.



Achievements:

The best so far in the quarter mile has been 10.50 @ 128 mph. For 2005, this best will be improved with help from a new 406 small block coming soon.
