My goal was to write this book in such a way that anybody, even someone with little or no decorating experience, could make these panoramic sugar creations following what was written in this book.


Panoramic Sugar Creations is written in six parts.

Part One - covers General Information on Panoramic Sugar Creations – the various types and how they’re made, molds that are used, and how the openings are cut.

Part Two - is on Making the Sugar Egg (the same method applies to all of them) – the sugar recipe, molding and scooping the sugar shells, royal icing recipes used, how to create the panorama, putting the two halves together and then mounting the sugar egg on a base.

Part Three – is all about Decorating the Sugar Egg or the shell, the seam, the base, and putting on the flowers, and pictures of finished eggs.

Part Four - gives tips on creating the panorama of and decorating the sugar balls, plus pictures.

Part Five - is on a new idea, "Edible Panoramic Sugar Pops" and how to make them. These would be smaller panoramic sugar creations or sizes that are put on popsicle sticks so kids could eat them.

Part Six - is on My transporting method for the sugar creations, how to wrap and store them, and mailing techniques.

Last section is on sources or where to get the molds, decorating colors, flowers, etc.


Although the book is written using my method and technique, in creating these Panoramic Sugar Creations, the methods used by others are also mentioned letting the reader know that my method is not the only way to make these sugar creations. However, it gives them a place to start or a guideline to use in making their own sugar creations.


This is a self-published, spiral bound book. It is sixtynine pages long, with a lot of colored photographs. Cost is $20.00, which includes the mailing costs in the U.S. (except to Alaska and Hawaii or abroad). The book will be sent by Priority Mail (2-3 days). Checks or money orders only.

I finally got some time yesterday to read your book properly, although I only had enough time for about the first half. It looks wonderful and you have so much detail in it that it takes the fear out of it. Maybe fear is too strong a word but you know how people are intimidated by things they aren't familiar with so they aren't as likely to try them? Your thorough instructions make it almost seem like I've already done them and had me hunting for things I could use for molds at Wal-Mart yesterday! Now I can't wait to read the second half ;o} Got to finish tax prep first though since my appt. with the accountant is sneaking up fast!

"Panoramic Sugar Creations" is an excellent reference book for those wishing to learn how to make panoramic eggs, pumpkins, balls, etc. The instructions are easy to read and the book is wonderfully illustrated. The reader is given so many creative ideas on using panoramic sugar creations throughout the year for almost any occasion and many creative ideas on how to decorate them at every level ( beginning to advanced).

Up to now, I had only heard of panoramic Easter eggs. Your book introduces me not only to panoramic Easter eggs, but also to panoramic balls, and pumpkins.

Anyone wanting to learn how to do panoramic sugar creations should find this book very helpful with easy-to-follow instructions, many illustrations and creative ideas in decorating their sugar creations.

Charlotte's book arrived yesterday and it is wonderful. The pictures and directions are very clear. I think I will try and make some sugar eggs for the times when I'm not busy with cakes. About the book. I can't say enough wonderful things about it. I'm so impressed! It's put together nicely. From the looks of it you have covered every single subject about panoramic eggs. I'm looking forward to sitting down and thoroughly reading it. I know I'll enjoy that just as much as creating the eggs. Looking ahead in your book I can see your directions are very clear. Your directions also have a personal touch as if you're right there in person and I like that. I've always enjoyed different basic cake decorating techniques especially decorating cookies with royal icing. Now that's something I'm familiar working with. I can't wait to try these different royal icing designs on my sugar creations.

The beautiful eggs that you have pictured in this book are so lovely and unique. I'm glad that the pictures are in full color so they can be appreciated all that much more. It's so hard for me to imagine that you created all of them. What talent! I've constantly looked on the internet for a few years for a book on panoramic eggs with no luck so it didn't surprise me to see that the copyright date is so recent.

I've read about halfway through the book, and I think it's really great! Are you planning on ever publishing it with a regular book publisher? You should, if at all possible. We need to revive this art form- especially now since you have taught me that they're not just for Easter anymore!
