The Pattern:

Hook

Curved scud hook
Bead Gold
Thread red or orange
Body Dubbed Red SLF
Hackle Grizzly hen, neck or saddle depending on size

Construction is simple: Slide bead on hook and mount hook in vise. Catch thread behind the bead and lay a base till into the hook's bend. Tie in the hackle and dubbing. Dub the body. Wrap the hackle Whip finish
