   NOTE--We have a collection of simple 35 mm cameras for workshop purposes. We can, if you like, arrange for participants to take pictures during the workshop and receive them before the end of the conference. John was the 4-H advisor for a photography club, he teaches high school students in an "at-risk" program, and got his own start in photography at age 13.

4. DISABILITY AWARENESS
   --If You Are Different, Go With It! (Finding the Best in Yourself and Other People). John has birth defects that primarily affect his appearance. He can't spell worth a darn and is a slow reader. As a kindergartener, the school system wanted to send him to a school for retarded children. He was ridiculed in elementary school and ignored in high school. None of that stopped him from graduating from college, becoming a newspaper photographer, and starting his own photography business!
