Man: An Enlightened being

Man has searched throughout his lifetime for an understanding of his being and is on a continual quest for Truth. It has been written in many scriptures that these times are important and is often referred to as the Age of Aquarius and it has been said by many prophets and saints that Man must evolve into a higher spiritual being to attain the 'knowledge of his roots' and have the realisation of his true self: the Spirit. Man has become lost in a world of confusion. Materialism, false-gurus and teachings have exploited Man's ignorance and have led him astray from what is Truth. If Man became one with the Divine he would ultimately have the awareness to distinguish what is Truth.

In 1970, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi founded Sahaja Yoga. The word 'Saha' meaning 'with', 'Ja' meaning 'born' and 'Yoga' meaning 'Union' with God. This union is achieved by awakening the 'Kundalini' (a dormant feminine energy), which resides in the Sacrum ('sacred') bone. Once this energy is awakened, it rises and pierces through the fontanel bone area and forms a connection with the power of Divine love. It enlightens the brain and the Central Nervous system and cool vibrations emanate from the head, flowing over the hands and over the crown and temples like a cool breeze. This has been described as the Holy Ghost; the Ruah; the Ruh; the Adi Shakti and the Athena in the scriptures and through this vibratory awareness Man becomes aware of what is Truth. Through this connection, physical, emotional and mental problems become a myth as one becomes an enlightened spiritual being.
