Sixties

"I first met her during the time these photographs were being taken.
Linda Eastman ..... New York Photographer. Later when we marrried she became,
in the eyes of the tabloid newspapers, one Linda Eastman Kodak.
"Paul marries an heiress ......" Well it's been a hard story to shake off,
but in fact she isn't anything to do with that famous film family.
She is just a photographer and a very good one"

Of course I'm biased, but I think she has the definitive
collection of sixties rock and roll pictures. She captures
the period, and with an intimacy that is impossible to ignore.
Having experienced her lens, I know that she knows when to click.
Not just before or after the special moment, but right on it!"

"When John Lennon was asked for a quote about one of Linda's books,
he wanted to say that "She has an eye for an eye",
but in the circumstances felt it might be misinterpreted as sarcasm.
He was right, she has an eye for the moment."

"Since the sixties she has developed as a woman,
a photographer, musician, cook and don't ask what else,
but her integrity as a picture taker is still completely intact.
She has made Sun Prints .... Blue and brown visions of another time.
She has saved landscapes, caught boyshapes and so much more.
But for now she looks back to her Sixties.

"And I for one say .... Good luck, darlin'!!!"
