Duncan MacDonald born in Scotland 1838 married Mary E. Abbott and came first to Wolfe island Ont & then Mitchell's Bay

Hugh Alexander b. Oct 2, 1868 Wolfe Island- married Mary Mordon. Died Aug 26, 1961 at Mitchells Bay (Commercial Fisherman
Elizabeth a. b. 1861 - Wolfe Island
Duncan A. born Wolfe Island moved to Dover Twp. Kent County & then became a Great Lakes Captain in Detroit Mi. died April 5, 1937
Ida Jane born 1878 married Mathew Rankin of Dover Twp. Kent Co.
James Bruce born 1881 at Mitchell's Bay -lived 19 years in Detroit - also a Great Lakes Captain of the passenger ship "City of Cleveland 111" died Feb. 14, 1924 --had a daughter named Dora married John Duval Dodge.
Samuel -born 1884 - married Irene Lugg, was a commercial fisherman at Mitchell's Bay--died Oct 7, 1939

We are direct descendants of Hugh Alexander. All of these MacD's belonged to St. Stephens Anglican Church in Mitchells Bay.

Would like to hear from relatives & would like further knowledge on Duncan --Where in Scotland did he come from?
Was he a member of the clan MacDonald? what ship did he come to Canada on? etc. Also any relatives or history from Wolfe Island Ontario
