On Easter more than 50 persons (including young families) gathered at Fletcher Church to celebrate the Resurrection of their Lord. By their presence they, together with Believers around the world, testified to the community and the world.
The Fletcher UCW's April meeting was at the Manse, with Mrs. Ann Lusina and Mrs. Reinie Marissen as hostesses.
The next meeting of the Youth Group is to be Thursday April 29th at 7:00pm at the Merlin Church. This Youth Group is sponsored by the Pastoral Charge and led by Dale Skipper, Jennifer Newham, Amy Atkinson, and Dave Dawson. Some evenings with as many as fourteen young people present the meetings include group discussions, Bible study, videos, and a time of fellowship and treats. All young people from Fletcher and Merlin are invited to attend.
Rev. Dr. Allan McDowell of Wheatley is to be the worship speaker at the LRACC meeting at Merlin United Church on Saturday May 1st (9:00am to 3:30pm). There will be a business meeting followed by a lunch provided by the Merlin UCW (Freewill offering). The afternoon is to consist of a musical presentation by Rev. Dr. Henry Marissen, and an introduction to ALPHA by Rev. Bob Whalls of Port Lambton. Visitors may also take part in any discussion, but only appointed representatives from the member churches will have voting privileges.
Fletcher and Merlin Congregations are members of the LRACC (The London Regional Association of Covenanting Congregations within The United Church of Canada - one of the Renewal and Reform movements within the Denomination).
