Paraphernalia Released
After a long wait by Enuff Z’nuff fans, Paraphernalia was finally released World Wide on May 4th. After enjoying a successful release in Japan last year the band went back into the studio to finish up the US release. Billy Corgan joined the band in revamping their cover of Cheap Trick’s, “Everything Works If You Let It”, as well as adding two new tracks. This album comes from a new label for the band called Spitfire Records. You can check out the new label by going to their website at www.spitfirerecords.com. So far, they have gotten this release off to a good start. Spitfire threw a wonderful record release party on May 1st, broadcasting it worldwide over the web through Jam TV and Rolling Stone Records. See page 4 of this issue for pictures from this event as well as the record signing at Tower Records on May 3rd. The band is currently booking tour dates all over the US, for this summer. Those dates were not available at press time but you can check out our websites, e-mail us or call the hotline listed below. |
A Few Words From Tom Feeley
As a fan first, I have been in awe of Enuff Znuff since their first album. Everything about the harmonies, arrangements and content of the songs fit me like a tight glove. This is a very comfortable feeling, given the fact that I grew up listening to the Beatles, and their music was my comfort zone. As the years went on, and more albums were released, I never lost the amazement that EZN were NEVER complacent about the material that they released. You can tell that they took their time in the studios, and made sure that ALL their work would bear the signature of excellence. If you listen to any of their albums, you would be hard pressed to find any "filler material". Many of their songs take you on an emotional journey that VERY few bands ever dream of achieving. I do believe that there are not many listeners out there who, after hearing some of the stories that flow from Chip and Donnie's pen, that have not shed at least one tear from the emotions that have eminated out of their stereo speakers. You can hear it in Rainy Day, to Downhill, to Someday. I now deal with Enuff Znuff on a personal and professional level. Like I said before, I am a fan first. They still amaze me. I am still in awe of them. I still have a hard time being in a total comfort zone around them. I respect them all too much, each member. Chip and Donnie are one of THE premier lyricists and arrangers of our time. Their new album Paraphernalia re-affirms this. You cannot listen to FREAK, and not imagine what someone who is less than perfect feels everyday of his/her life. Again, emotions, stories, and reflections ooze out of this album, from the first chord to the last note on this CD. Enuff Znuff have matured in the same manner that their Icons have. It's just so damned ironic that they are compared to the greatest rock band of this century, who were allowed to grown and mature, but yet the industry will not allow Enuff Znuff to do the same, even though they consistently have proven otherwise.
