Rev. Wayne A. Gadie, the ninth child of eleven was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. His primary and secondary education was completed in Mt. Clemens. During the years of his secondary education he excelled as a wrestler and received a wrestling scholarship to Eastern Michigan University (Ypsilanti, MI) where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1979. He majored in Speech and Drama with a minor in Business Management. A Masters of Divinity degree was received from Virginia Union University School of Theology in Richmond, Virginia. His Clinical Pastoral Education was received from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia.

Rev. Wayne A .Gadie was licensed to Preach the Gospel in 1976 at the Morning Star Baptist Church, Mt. Clemens, Michigan, and ordained a Minister of the Gospel in 1981 at the First Baptist Institutional Church of Detroit, MI. His professional experience has been extensive and includes (to name a few): Executive Director of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference of Detroit, MI; Youth Minister/Assistant Pastor at the Mosby Memorial Baptist Church in Richmond, VA; Hospital Chaplain at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, VA. He has served as the Minister of Christian Education at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Detroit, Michigan; served as a Campus Minister at Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, MI.

He is presently the pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Malden, Massachusetts where he assumed leadership on August 7, 1988. He has successfully implemented many new programs that includes (but not limited to) the expansion of the Missions Program to include an extensive Prison Ministry, Nursing Home Visitation and an Emergency Food Pantry; The Christian Education Ministry has grown to include a Christian Education Institute yearly and a Leadership Conference that includes the entire church family; a strong Youth Ministry; a flourishing Men's Ministry; a parking structure has been completed; old parking structure refurbished. Under his leadership, Emmanuel has paid off all mortgages and is currently debt free. He has recently revived the Church's Building Council with the goal of completing the church's building program.
