Disney Water Parks
River Country: River Country is the smallest and oldest of the water parks but that doesn't mean you can't have a good time there. Bay Cove is a great water hole with ropes to swing into the pool. There are 4 water slides and a white water rafting ride. Don't count on spending the whole day here, maybe go to another water park that day or shop & go to disney quest or something like that. You might even want to go back to your hotel and take a dip there.
River Country Prices: Adult One Day Ticket is $17.95. Child (3-9) One-day ticket are $14.50. Under 3 are free.
Blizzard Beach: This is the newest water park in disney world. When you get there, you think your not in a water park. You would think it is a ski resort. There even is a ski lift. The Major Attraction is Summit Plummet, it looks like a ski jump. It lies on top of Mt. Gushmore. This ride sends you down the jump 60 miles per hour! Cross Country Creek is a lazy river the circles the entire park. For Those of you who are to scared of summit plummet or just got done riding it, you can go to Slush Gusher.
Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon Ticket Prices: Adult 1 day ticket is $26.45. Child 1 day ticket is $20.67.
Typhoon Lagoon: Typhoon Lagoon is located near Pleasure Island. Mt. Mayday can be seen throughout the park. Atop of Mt. Mayday is Miss Tilly. Miss Tilly Shoots out water every so often. There is 3 wave pools in the park. Castaway Creek circles the park. People can hop on a intertube and relax on castaway creek. Just don't fall asleep becuase you might bump your head on one of the floating boxes. You even float through a little rain forest. At Shark Reef you can swim with real sharks! Of course you use the ssnorkel equipment. Gangplank falls let's 3-5 people ride in a raft together! Humunga Kowabunga are 2 speed slides that send you down 25 miles per hour. There also other 3 speed slides, there not as scary as Humunga Kowabunga. There also is a kiddie area for people 4 feet or under.
Some Tips: If you really want to go to the water parks, avoid febuary and january beacuase they may be closed for refurbishing. That doesn't mean they will be closed but they may be. Also get there early if you want a chair.
