Tommorowland Attractions
Space Mountain: One of Tommorowland's most famous attractions, still is as popular as it was back when it opened in the Magic Kingdom in 1975. This ride is basically a roller coaster in the dark, but don't worry. It doesn't go upside down. The ride is almost 3 minutes long and reachest a speed of 29 miles per hour (althought it feels way faster). The ride's waiting area has SMTV and if you look above you will see giant meteors and space dust. If you have any kids under 44 inches they won't be allowed to ride.***
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress: This show is the longest running stage show in American History. It was Walt's Idea and he put in the New York's World Fair of 64. It was later moved to Disneyland then it came to Walt Disney World in 1975. From 1975 to 1993 the song was changed from the original ride at disneyland and the World's Fair, the song was called "THe Best Time of Your Life". But when Tommorowland got refurbished in 1994 the original song "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tommorow". This show is 20 minutes and is in a rotationg theatre, it shows you how people have progressed over the years with electricty and technology. The last scene was updated in the refurbishment and it contains a lot of stuff that's not far away from now!***
The Timekeeper: In this attraction there is some faces and voices you may recoginize. This attraction takes place in a Circle Vision Theatre. That means there is screens in a circle surrounding you. Also in the theatre is an audio-animatronics called Timekeeper and 9-Eye. Timekeeper is played by Robin Williams and his time machine 9-eye will show you the past and maybe just the future! You even get to meet the science fiction writers Jules Verne and H.G. wells who is played by Jeremy Irons. **
Buzz lightyear's Space Ranger Spin: Join Buzz Lightyear from the computer animated movie Toy Story as you help him battle the evil emperor zurg. On this ride you get in tiny spaceships and use your joystick and laser guns to shoot emperor zurg and his freinds. This attraction seems to be popular with kids and some adults. This attraction is new, it opened last october. I was there and I missed the ride that use to be there: Take flight or even bvefore that was If you had Wings!**
Tommorowland Speedway: Yes, one of Disney's classic attractions. It's been enertining guests since Grand opening of the Magic Kingdom. These little cars carry guests on a trip thru a mini high way. Lits of people like to bump even though it says don't, like me! Caution: These cars can break down very easily. You must be at least 52 inches to drive.*
Skyway: See Fantasyland
Tommorowland Transit Authority: This attraction used to be called the people mover, these trains take you thru a tour of Tommorowland. They only go 7 miles perhour but they seem to go faster just like space mountain.*
Astro Orbiter: These are the attraction that was formelly called Star Jets. When they were refurbished in 94 they had them look like Toy Rockets and they added planets by it. This ride can go to big heights and you can can get a good view of some of Waklt Disney World.***
Tommorowland Shops and Eateries
Mickey's Star Traders: Probaly the second best shop in the Magic Kingdom (Emporium's 1st). This store doesn't just have tommorowland merchandise but they have a lot of other disney themed merchandise.***
Ursa's Major Minor Mart: Near Skyway to Fantasyland this small shop has some disney souveniers and space mountain merchandise. NR
Gieger's Counter: Near Tommorowland Speedway, small shop. NR
Merchant of Venus: This shop contains lots of Sci-Fi and Alien Encounter Merchandise. **
Aunty Gravity: This shop contains a selection of deserts.*
Cosmic Ray's StarLight Cafe: Big Fast Food Restaraunt.NR
Plaza Pavillion: Self Serve sit down eatery. NR
Lunching Pad: Just like Cosmic rays and Plaza pavillion. NR
