The Disney/MGM Studios was Walt Disney World's third theme park. It opened in 1989, most say Disney built this becuase Universal was building a theme park not too far away. Universal Studios is still currently very popular and they are building a second theme park which is expected to open this Summer. Disney/MGM Studios is a full functioning movie and tv studio and not to mention a Walt disney World Theme Park.
