History:The Animal Kingdom opened last May. It is the largest & newest theme parks in disney world. I haven't been there yet but I'm going this fall. It took alot of work into building the animal kingdom! Disney Imagineers went to africa & tryed to duplicate it in the park! The park doesn't contain many rides but I heard it was still fun!
Parking & Ticket Information: It's the same as the other parks, 5$. It's free to resorts guests. Ticket prices can range from 30 to 45 dollars.
Entrance, Oasis, Safari Village: As you enter the Animal Kingdom, you'll go through the entrance plaza and enter the oasis. Walk straight ahead and you'll see the Tree of Life in Safari Village. The Tree Of Life is the symbol for the Animal Kingdom, there are over 300 animals sculpted in the tree! You can even take a walk through the tree of life garden. But inside the tree of life is the 3-D show It's tough to be a bug. This 3-D show is full of bugs that buzz by in 3-D and it is in a 450 seat room. Also in safari village, is discovery boats that transports you to another dock.
Africa: Africa is home of Kilimanjaro Safaris and Conservation Station. Kilimanjaro Safaris is a 18-minute safari to show how things are in africa with animals, guides, even the land looks like africa. But toawrds the end of the ride you come around some poachers, but I don't want to give the ride away. Africa in the Animal Kingdom is bigger than the magic kingdom! Animal Kingdom, as you can guess is the biggest park in disney world. Conservation Station is where you can see how the animals in the animal kingdom are cared for. Sick animals are taken care of here too! Wildlife express is a short ride on a train, you get go and see parts of conservation station, kilimanjro safaris and other stuff. There are some other attractions but I don't have time right now.
Dinoland USA- This is where the dinosaurs rule! As you enter this area of the park you see a giant dinosaur bones! Countdown To Extinction is the thrill ride of the animal kingdom where you have to save one of the last dinosaurs. Lot of cool audio animatonic dinosaurs on this ride. Cretaceous Trail is a trail with some animals like alligators & turtles. The Boneyard is where you can dig for dinosaur fossils and there is some other things to do. Asia- Asia will be opening in 1999. I will have more info on this park as the opening gets closer!
Camp Minnie and Mickey- You can meet some characters here and you can either see a pochantas movie or/and the lion king show.
The Animal Kingdom is still very young, so you probaly will be seeing more additions over the years. I hope they will add a few more rides because in total there is only 3 rides! Other than that I think it is a great park and would like to congratulate all the disney imagineers and all the people who helped on making the Animal Kingdom! Great Job!
