Peter Witt Cars

The Peter Witt Cars were the first new streetcars purchased by the Toronto Transportation Commission in order to rehabilitate the run-down transit system inherited from the Toronto Railway Company. A total of 250 large Witts (equipped with couplers to pull trailers), 100 small Witts and 225 trailers arrived in Toronto between 1921 and 1923.
