Kitchen Party

A party is not a party without the tangy zip of Miracle Whip

Yesh kitchen parties what they are how they start why they are good kitchen party stories ........ also what's the difference between a kitchen party, drinking at a house, and a full-on shake jam..... RIGHT so stuff like that I'm going for on this

Quite simply, kitchen parties are parties that take place in someone's kitchen. The entire house is prime for a shaker, what with comfortable couches and the like, but inevitably the party seems to move to the kitchen. This is because the kitchen is where the refridgerator is. And the refridgerator holds the beer. Therefore the obvious place for people to hang out is in the kitchen, with the beer at arms length.

Often times there are many people packed into a small kitchen and a couple people spattered around the rest of the house.. The only other place that rivals the kitchen is the driveway or backyard, where people go out to kick it for a smoke or chill by the fire. But everyone eventually gets caught up in the kitchen party.

When a small number people are gathered for some pop and chips, maybe some dip, but maybe not, that is what is known as a "drinking at a house" event. It's too small and not happening enough to be called a party. We have lots of these.

What about "balls"? Balls can be held for charity, balls can be held for fun. Chantel holds balls with the best of 'em.

A full-on "shake jam" is like 10 shakers all at once. The house is full of all kinds of girls and there's good times being had. If the party has a name and/or a flyer made up, it can be expected to turn out to be a shake jam. You know drinking games are going down, somebody's gotta be drinking something with a crowd going woopty woop, there's people outside roaming around creating misdemeanours. There can be a kitchen party going on at the time, but the party is too big to be contained in the kitchen. Such shake names include: Poolside Ease, A Midsummers Night Drinkin, Bocktoberfest, Stanstock, Layin' Pipe All Night Long Canada Day Long Weekend Campstravaganza.. Not included in this category is "Hogwild 2004", which is just funny enough to include.

On the other end of the party spectrum is the "pop and chip party". This is a party which is pretty tame. It can also be a handy alibi, helping a dude kick it by telling his significant other that he's just attending a "pop and chip party.. maybe some dip.. I.. I don't know about the dip, though.. That's a bit crazy.." and then during a check in call you can have two people in the background discussing how lovely the french onion dip is.. Some people argue that a pop and chip party is a non-alcoholic party and therefore not a party at all, but we can kick it sans alcohol and have a rad time a la "Drunk on Life".

You said you were leaving I said you were crazy you thought you had some things to do
