BMW M3 (E46) Coupe

BMW M3 Coupe (E46)

BMW should release official photos of the upcoming M3 based on the E46 coupe sometime during 1999. This new car will feature even higher performance then the latest of the E36 M3s. In most cases BMW 'M' cars tend to be very subtle in the exterior modifications. Only the original M3 (E30), the new M5 (E39) and special editions of E36 M3 such as the M3 Lightweight hinted more clearly at how special they are. Included below are four "visions" of what the next M3 Coupe may look like.

BMW M3 E46 Coupe (Concept1)

Concept 1: Muscular and unadorned body of this coupe hints that it is the new M3. The changes includemore aggresive airdam and the rear valance and sport mirrors. Shown here on 18" Radialspoke wheels. Overall the car appears very similar to 328Ci with only small hints suggesting the power hiding underneath the hood.

BMW M3 E46 Coupe Concept2

Concept 2: Classic M3 looks that incorporates M3 E36 and and M5 E39 features. Changes such as sport mirrors, 'M' door strips and aggresive bumpers that hint at the new M5. Shown in the Shadowline package with 18" satin chrome BBS RKII wheels.

Concept 3: M3 Luxury/Comfort is likely to be more of a tourer than a racing car. Such luxury edition would be likely to sport standard door sill covers, options of chrome trim and full size mirrors (not shown) and 18" wheels made by BBS.

BMW M3 E46 Coupe Concept4

Concept 4: Most balanced M3 Coupe would merge features of the Concept 1 and Concept 2 into a very attractive package. Options such as Dakar Yellow III paint, two tone upholstery, colour co-ordinated brake calipers would be provided by 'M Individual', including also these 18" BBS RK wheels.
