1984 Volvo DL 4 Door Wagon

I purchased this car from my boss. It used to be his second car. I bought it for $100.00 and it was my first attempt at the Mini demoltion derby. I entered this at the 1998 Belleville Derby and I intimidated almost EVERYONE out there since my car was bigger than all the other Chevettes, GLCs, etc. that were there. I got in the heat and was just starting to get into the action when a Tempo clipped the front tire of the Volvo twice, bending the power steering rack end and causing the tall 15" tires to get wedged against the front strut tower. So I got stuck in the sand when I couldn't move. Did a nice burnout though right down to the clay! Next year this car will be back in the ring with the tie rod re-inforced. I didn't even take any AFTER pictures of it because it looks almost the same as it did before! (Just a few more dents!)
