The Bethlehem to Jerusalem Interfaith Peace Prayer Pilgrimage

Thirteen years ago for the first time in history representatives of the
global indigenous spiritual peoples' cultures of peace spoke at the
General
Assembly of the United Nations Organization and they delivered the
warning
that the mind of man was out of harmony with the law of the Great Spirit
and
the law of Nature. Consequently, they explained, escalating civil unrest
and
wars, and even the increasing severity of natural disasters are
happening
because the mind of man is out of harmony with nature.
In 2001 we began The United Nations International Decade of Creating a
Culture of Peace and Nonviolence for the Children of The World. We are
propagating this message and commitment with the promise of our
Interfaith
Peace Prayer Walk this Christmas morning over the road to Jerusalem from
Bethlehem beginning at dawn and ending in the afternoon with a sacred
circle
of hands prayer cermony.
We represent and invite participation as a global community of all
faiths,
including indigenous Palestinian Christians, Moslems and Jews, and all global indigenous
spiritual peoples of peace.
We are interfaith peace workers, children and pilgrims, all of one heart
and
mind. We understand and affirm that we must share, nurture, protect and
love
Mother Earth and learn Her ways of indigenous natural wisdom.
THE HOPI DECLARATION OF PEACE
It is in the Power of the True Hopi People to unify the minds and spirits of
all true peace seeking peoples of the earth...
"Hopi" means "Peaceful People"... and the truest and greatest power is the
strength of Peace...because Peace is the Will Of The Great Spirit...
But do not think that just because the True Hopi People have been told by
the
Great Spirit never to take up arms... that the True Hopi People will not
fight... even die for what we know to be the right way of Life.
The True Hopi People Know how to fight without killing or hurting...
The True Hopi People Know how to fight with Truth and Positive Force In The
Light Of The Great Spirit...
The True Hopi People Know how to Educate by clear thoughts... good

The True Hopi People Know how to show to all the world's Children the True
Way
of Life by setting an example... by working and communicating in a way that
reaches the minds and hearts of all people who are truly seeking the methods
of a simple and spiritual Life which is the only Life that will survive...
THE TRUE HOPI PEOPLE PRESERVE THE SACRED KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE WAY OF THE
EARTH BECAUSE THE TRUE HOPI PEOPLE KNOW THAT THE EARTH IS A LIVING...
GROWING PERSON... AND ALL THINGS ON IT ARE HER CHILDREN...
The True Hopi People Know how to show the Right Way of Life to all the
world's
people who have ears to listen... who have eyes to see... and who have
hearts
to understand these things...
The True Hopi People Know how to generate enough Power to link up the forces
of the Minds and Spirits of all the True Children of the Earth ... and to
Unify them with the Positive Force of the Great Spirit so that they may put
an
end to affliction and persecution in all afflicted places in this world...
THE TRUE HOPI PEOPLE DECLARE THAT HOPI POWER BE A FORCE WHICH WILL BRING
ABOUT WORLD CHANGE.
This means that Hopi people are also Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and
"spiritual but not religious" people, all those who understand that the very reason for
this
life on Earth is to become fully human: Compassionate and balanced,
loving
and nurturing, believing and hoping in all things good.
This Christmas morning we are gathering at dawn in a circle of prayer,
and
with the full cooperation of the Israeli government and Islamic authorities
we
will walk to Jerusalem and form a circle of hands prayer at the Western Wall in Jerusalem,
"The Wailing Wall," ending the walk with a circle of hands prayer ceremony followed global peace council
in sacred circle outside the Al Aqsa Mosque.
Treading steps for peace, each one as a prayer, over the rocky but promising road from Bethlehem to Jerusalem, this Christmas morning
the
human family walks together in solidarity for a better world for all of the
Children of Mother Earth.
The local co-coordinators of this historic first 2005 Christmas Peacewalk are
pursuing full cooperations from the State of Israel and Jewish religious
authorities, the Palestinian Authority, and other appropriate
religious authorities, global news media, and the general public.
