  • What is C.A.I.R. teams?
C.A.I.R. is an association of chiropractic doctors who have an interest and dedication to athletes and sports injuries. Each one has shown proficiency in working with athletes, dedication through continuing education and a solid desire to be involved with getting and keeping athletes healthy.

C.A.I.R. is comprised on chiropractors who are "sports specialists". Our organization is available for major sports events to organize the medical coverage or to provide the chiropractic component to it. C.A.I.R. works closely with members of other healing arts who are also sports specialists to give comprehensive coverage at events or assigns suitable chiropractors to work with individual teams.

  • Who works for C.A.I.R.?
C.A.I.R. doctors are all chiropractors who are members of CCSS (the College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences) and/or FICS (the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic). By asking them to stay members of these organizations, you can be assured that your athletes are being treated by competent, experienced individuals who understand the athlete and athletic injuries.

  • Do you need C.A.I.R.?
We don't know if it just seems like it or if there really are more injuries these days, but we do know it makes sense to have the best possible injury coverage that you can get for large events. Some events will not be given insurance without it. You certainly want more that a bandaid dispenser. You need an individual who can make quick accurate assessment, can tell you whether the athlete should return to action or should be sent for immediate hospital care. You need someone who can tell you how to follow up at home and what should be done for a quicker recovery.

Do you need C.A.I.R.? It's probably the best thing you can arrange for your event.

  • Why chiropractors?
Are chiropractors better than physiotherapists, athletic therapists or physicians? We think they are all important. In fact, whenever possible, we try to work with our colleagues in the other healing arts in order to provide the most comprehensive care for the athletes.

Chiropractors are primary contact health givers like physicians. So like physicians, they are licensed to make a diagnosis and to act on that diagnosis. What sets us apart is our unique perspective of non-drug and non-surgical intervention whenever possible. We all know how important that is in todays sports. The sports chiropractor, like a therapist, has a hands on approach in working to rehabilitate the athlete. The combination is a winner.
