Peter Beaton a Bleachfield Worker, son of Margaret Beaton of Springhill Barrhead Scotland married Margaret Martin on August 15 1879 in Springhill Barrhead, Scotland. They had 6 children, Thomas Johnston(e) David, Mary, Janet, Robert, Alex.
Thomas Beaton was born December 1st 1883. He came to Canada with his parents and married Alice Matthews of Stayner Ontario Canada. They had 5 children, William who died at the age of 19 when he fell over Niagara Falls New York while serving in the Queens Yorks Rangers in WW2 in 1942. Thomas was 16 years of age when he died. Next was James he married Joyce Dadson and they had 4 sons, then Robert married Joan Kirkwood they had 2 sons,then June who died at the age of 1 1/2years old.
