I've decided where usually I am quiet about who people should vote for, this year I'm not keeping quiet. There is a lot of crap being pulled in this election and most of it is being pulled by democrats!
Well I'm fixing to get real busy. Next Monday I turn 27 years old and then the next week will be holding a booth for TBI Raiders at the University of Central Oklahoma then will be attending the spring conference for the Oklahoma Association of Higher Education And Disabilities. Then sometime after that a meeting will need to be set up to get things running for TBI Raiders to become non-profit! I'm wanting to do so much with this organization. I'm going to see if besides being a non-profit organization if TBI Raiders would be able to branch off and create jobs for the organization. So hopefully everything will be going up from here on out!
The middle school class that is going to get involved is also going to help set up the program in which they will be working with a web design class from a Texas high school. The students are really pumped about becoming involved in the organization. Angela and I spoke on the phone and decided that I would be going and working with her class on the first Wednesday of the month on TBI Raiders. I'm going to have them help me create the May newsletter for TBI Raiders and help plan a summer leadership training event that will also be a TBI Raiders training event. I called one of the state representatives and see if I could get him to speak to Angela's class. He gave me the details of what I needed to do and then I called Angela immediately after that and hopefully we'll get something worked out before the end of the month!
And at the end of the day I'm thanking God that I'm still in touch and have remained close to my friends I grew up with in Chandler. They have always been supportive and have always tried to help me if they could.
Then next week is going to be super cool, other than the fact I turn 27. On Wednesday when I go to the dance studio, one of my friends, Angela, that I grew up with in dance is going to come watch and critique what I've choreographed and help me get the performances absolutely perfect. So I'm most looking forward to that.
Then next week I will post an update on TBI Raiders move to non-profit status and how it is going. Of course the posts will go on the blogs for TBI Raiders. But I'm working on creating a system before the session ends that will setup a communication link between the state/medical field/school systems.
