I am busy working on the newsletter tonight. I've had so many things come up. But am taking some time out tonight to work on it while I'm waiting for my laundry to finish.

I went last week to work with the middle school students involved in TBI Raiders and got them started on making some packets for TBI Raiders. Then Friday I went to take pictures of Representative Lindley and the students when he went to speak to their class. These kids are very excited about becoming involved in TBI Raiders. I can't even describe the look that four of them made when I told them that once the packets were made they would be able to give them to their loved ones who were enlisted so that they would know more about Traumatic Brain Injury and something that was going that could potentially help the men and women who sustain a TBI overseas or here in their recovery. Okay I can't describe it but I know what that feeling is because I have a father who is a first sergeant in the Army Reserves.
I am going to need to go to the dance studio on Wednesday to work on my solos and help with two classes plus go to church. I am going to need to start walking around town this week so my costume looks perfect on me. Plus I am going to need to get with someone who can fix my costume before the June recital. Angela is going to get her class started on the assignments, I emailed her, on Monday. Then once I'm done with the two meetings I need set up then I am going to have to contact a lawyer and have him and another lawyer come to a meeting I need to set up and get a hold of everyone to come to then TBI Raiders will become non-profit! How exciting is that?!
I need to get to work on the newsletter this week and work on some of the websites for TBI Raiders. Some of the kids in the leadership class want to create their own websites and do a lot of things with the organization. I am just so pleased with how everything is going. Once we get things set up I can already think of some people I want to get a hold of to have community outreach events in Luther. The thing is I'm really excited about being able to cook a lot this week for one of the meetings. I don't like cooking a lot for myself. And it has been ages since I really cooked for anything. I know it has been a long time since I can't even remember it. Hold it, never mind because it's hard to remember some things since I have a short term memory problem. Oh well at least I'm not repeating things like I did when I was in the hospital after I came out of my coma. I could only remember things for five seconds worth at that time.
I'm probably going to re-organize my home office today in the midst of cleaning my apartment. I need to re-organize it since it's been a while and so many more things have been developing for TBI Raiders. But it's not going to be all work for me today. Later today I'm going to go visit my folks and then my youngest brother is in from college this weekend. So it ought be fun. Well I've got some things to get to so later ya'll!!!
I've decided where usually I am quiet about who people should vote for, this year I'm not keeping quiet. There is a lot of crap being pulled in this election and most of it is being pulled by democrats!
Well I'm fixing to get real busy. Next Monday I turn 27 years old and then the next week will be holding a booth for TBI Raiders at the University of Central Oklahoma then will be attending the spring conference for the Oklahoma Association of Higher Education And Disabilities. Then sometime after that a meeting will need to be set up to get things running for TBI Raiders to become non-profit! I'm wanting to do so much with this organization. I'm going to see if besides being a non-profit organization if TBI Raiders would be able to branch off and create jobs for the organization. So hopefully everything will be going up from here on out!
The middle school class that is going to get involved is also going to help set up the program in which they will be working with a web design class from a Texas high school. The students are really pumped about becoming involved in the organization. Angela and I spoke on the phone and decided that I would be going and working with her class on the first Wednesday of the month on TBI Raiders. I'm going to have them help me create the May newsletter for TBI Raiders and help plan a summer leadership training event that will also be a TBI Raiders training event. I called one of the state representatives and see if I could get him to speak to Angela's class. He gave me the details of what I needed to do and then I called Angela immediately after that and hopefully we'll get something worked out before the end of the month!
And at the end of the day I'm thanking God that I'm still in touch and have remained close to my friends I grew up with in Chandler. They have always been supportive and have always tried to help me if they could.
Then next week is going to be super cool, other than the fact I turn 27. On Wednesday when I go to the dance studio, one of my friends, Angela, that I grew up with in dance is going to come watch and critique what I've choreographed and help me get the performances absolutely perfect. So I'm most looking forward to that.
Then next week I will post an update on TBI Raiders move to non-profit status and how it is going. Of course the posts will go on the blogs for TBI Raiders. But I'm working on creating a system before the session ends that will setup a communication link between the state/medical field/school systems.
Okay I was on the news last night. But still it was about TBI Raiders. The news station placed a link the website for TBI Raiders. I just finished changing up the directory. I don't know how long it will take me to update the website, but I'm planning a new patriotic layout for the entire site. I will be going next month to speak to a middle school class. Then there is a teacher in Texas that wants me to put a project together for her web design classes to become involved in TBI Raiders.

Tomorrow is the big day for the first ever teleconference for TBI Raiders. Yesterday I spent the day uploading the clip art for the pages of the newsletter and then today I will be spending it with updating the newsletter and blogs for TBI Raiders. I've also been downloading some new web design programs to use for the TBI Raiders website and A TBI's Corner. Get geared for tomorrow evening everyone!
You will be happy to learn I'm busy working away on the Holiday/Family themed Newsletter for TBI Raiders. I have a couple of articles to finish or write but overall I will be working on my frontpage programs to get the overall look I'm desiring for the newsletter. A fellow survivor is writing a few of the articles as well. Well I need to get back to work on the newsletter but I wanted to come post an update on how things are going.
I've been thinking a lot here recently how to not get tired out from managing websites. When I started all this five to six years ago, I never thought about me getting worn out or having this much trouble recruiting volunteers. I took a look at some of the pages and noticed that some of them look really not right. That is because I'm using a different web design program for some of the pages. Well on the 26th this month I'll be going to speak to middle school students about TBI Raiders. I grew up in dance with the teacher. I think she's going to have the students become involved in the organization. I spoke with somebody who is with the Brain Injury Association of Wyoming and there will be a few articles and events that will be in the TBI Raiders newsletter. One thing I am going to need to try my hardest about doing is checking all the pages for the website and seeing which ones look like a near disaster and need some updates. I'm going to be calling some schools to see if I would be able to go speak to the juniors and seniors about TBI Raiders. Well be sure to come back and check this page or the TBI Raiders message board and blog to see what is going on!
