News for
March 21, 2008
I'm waiting to get Microsoft re-installed on my computer because then I will have frontpage and will be able to transfer a lot of the designs to the other web design program I use.  ***I am changing up the directory and the pages now.  I hope to finish by sometime in the next two weeks.***

I am seriously going to be working on the main pages today and all this weekend.  Which this weekend I may not be able to do much with Easter being Sunday and then my parents, brothers, and myself will be celebrating my 27th birthday.  In other good news since the last news post I made, TBI Raiders has gotten even closer to moving to non-profit status.  Also one of my friends that I have known since I was 4 years old and grew up with at the dance studio is now a middle school teacher and is going to get her leadership class involved in TBI Raiders!!!  Next week I go to meet with a high school principle and counselor to talk to them about TBI Raiders and getting the students at their school more involved in TBI Raiders.

I will also be letting the leadership class become involved in redesigning the TBI Raiders website.  I will be going to meet with the class on the 1st Wednesday of the month.  I will also get more dates set up in the process and will come post them on here so everyone will know what is going on!

The leadership class is also going to help get everything ready for the booth I will be holding at the Disability Awareness Event at the University of Central Oklahoma on March 31st - April 2nd.  I will only be sitting at the booth on the 31st and this is because the next two days I will be attending the Spring Conference that the Oklahoma Association of Higher Education And Disabilities (OK-AHEAD) will be putting on.  I will also be taking information about TBI Raiders to the conference.
Background of TBI Raiders....
TBI Raiders was originally set up a few years ago only to be an online club. But has grown into so much more thanks to support from many people, including a lot of Traumatic Brain Injury survivors who WANTED to see some change done. One thing has stayed the same though in regards to the purpose of TBI Raiders. This group was created to help and support students who have a TBI...along with educating the public.

The purpose of this club is to see that students with a TBI succeed. As well as educate the communities we live in so that treatment and understanding will be better for those of us with TBI. Anyone is welcome to join the club that wants to help get awareness out and learn more about our disability. If you'd like to create better study habits, have specific chats scheduled, or something along the line of that would be helpful to students...then go ahead. If there is anything about politics within this site it will be about how it can help individuals with a traumatic brain injury. We only wish to work towards a common goal and to get others to work together and for others, if this applies to them, to get over their egos!
