Quite a lot has happened here since we started this web site in August 2002.

Although quite content with 23 ratties it was not to be... Just before Christmas, little Dougal arrived. Dougal came from the Rajashree Rattery and is a powder blue dumbo berkshire. His date of birth is 23 October 2002. As I wasn't expecting him he had to go on his own in a little hamster cage until we could get him a little friend and also a bigger cage. He's a lovely laid back chappie, typical dumbo but he hasn't stayed small for long.At just 3 months old he has filled out considerably and is turning into quite a lump.
Dougal was not on his own for very long, soon after arrived little Alfie who is a Chocolate from Ratty Rascals. His date of birth is 30.10.2002.
Alfie is a very, very cheeky chappie. They were introduced on the settee and you would have thought they were litter mates. They soon settled into their nice new cage enjoying all the room but it was not to be the 2 of them for very long. Little Ted was the next new arrival. Ted came from the Waterman Rattery and is a chocolate striped roan.He is absolutely gorgeous and very very naughty. Ted was born on 17th november 2002. Where ever Ted should not be he is. He can only move at 50mph and loves to jump on your shoulder and keep you company. The first night he came to us he fell asleep in my sleeve and stayed there all night. He likes nothing more than to climb over the other boys cage and tease them, he's managed to get in there a couple of times and we've found him making himself comfy in their hammock. They were not amused and he was soon removed. All 3 ratties get on very well and so far there have been no squabbles.
You would have thought that 26 ratties would be enough for any normal person but is was then that we decided to go to the MRC show at Kettering which was held at the beginning of the month.(1/2/2003) So we wouldn't be tempted to get any more ratties we only took 3 girls with us and no empty cages. We soon found that we could purchase the carry cases and we found the corner where the babies were. Please let me introduce you to Hector, a Himalayan from Julie Oliver who is 7 weeks old, and Dudley,a Roan from Waterman again. Dudley is actually Teds half brother, both babies spent the rest of the day in an Acrorats pouch fast asleep. When we got them home they were introduced on the sette again and everything went fine. I don't think the other 3 even noticed there were new arrivals. At 28 we have to stop now, no kitten pages are looked at and when we go to another show neither of us are taking any money....(any breeders out there who accept credit cards????) We are hoping that we may be able to show Hector or Dudley as both have lovely markings but we shall have to see how they go.

We were adamant that this was it...no more ratties...but what do you do if people just offer them to you??? Take them of course... We were offered Pip and Squeak from Ruth of Waterman. They are Teds sisters and both beautiful Agoutis. They came home with us from the Acrorats party as she was unable to find another home.

Pip and Squeak take after Ted. Neither of them can move below 50mph so to get them on camera was quite difficult. They are the most amazing colours though. They way you tickle their tummies and it changes colour I think is lovely. They say that not a lot of people like Agouti's but I think they have to be one of the best colours out.

The Cats

We are very glad to announce that all the cats are thriving. Morticia has turned into a proper daddies girl. Running to Andy as soon as he comes in to tell him how nasty I've been to her. She's into everything and is extremly naughty, all the cats put together are not as naughty as her.

Gomez, on the other hand is still the biggest drip out. He has got really huge but is so loving and laid back. You can do absolutely anything with him. This is a picture of him with our Max, although it looks like they are both being held down this was not the case. I'm sure Gomez didn't know what Max was, at one point they were kissing but the camera was too slow to pick that up.....

Gomez still thinks he is Marilyn and Manson's mommy and is quiet happy to lie there whilst they try and nurse on him. If one of the little ones gets shut in another room he is soon heard crying outside the door.
Gomez is a real sweetheart.

Marilyn and Manson are also doing really well. Manson is turning into a real chunky boy although you really can't tell from this picture. He loves to cuddle up to Gomez on the bed and fall asleep. There's nothing on earth that will remove the 2 of them then.

Marilyn is a bit smaller than her brother and also more timid. Both little ones are recovering from ops afetr being castrated and speyed but I think someone forgot to tell them as they are still as barmy as ever.

Four cats would be enough for any normal person but I'm sure you've already gathered that we're not like normal people.
Please let me introduce you to Admewam Tychea Quann.
Tychea arrived here on the 1st Feb, she is a beautiful chocolate point siamese. All cats were very weary of each other at first but they now get on fine. Tychea is very vocal and at the moment it is a competition between her and Morticia to see who can be the loudest.

Ty is a very affectionate moggie and likes nothing better than to curl up and go to sleep with you. She'll follow you everywhere and if you ignore her she soon lets you know she is there.

To say this place is a madhouse is an under statement.
