Jamboree Plans & Dates:
July 22 to
August 3, 2005

Start planning your rank advancements and troop account savings for this trip. Each scout attending must be 12 years of age by July 2005 and have First Class rank.

REMEMBER: Scouts wanting to reserve a spot in the contingent will need to make a deposit ($200.00)  in Nov/Dec 2003. The current estimate for expenses is $1250.00.  (This was the amount in 2001 and the trip planners are working hard to not exceed this amount.) The troop is only allowed to take a limited number of boys.    Deposits to the troop go to reserve airline reservations and other deposits.

The 2001 trip included a visit to Washington D.C., Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia Beach and then 10 days spent at the encampment.

Future Plans:
Nov 14-16, 2003:
Survival Campout, Thanksgiving cookout.
Dec 12-13, 2003:
Ice Skating/Lock-In, Boys & Girls Club.
Jan 16-18, 2004:
Trapper Rendezvous near Wichita, Ks.
March 15-20, 2004:
Colorado ski trip @ Spring Break.
June 13-19, 2004:
Summer Camp @ Tom Hale

 Where is Jamboree 2005?

Fort A. P. Hill, located in the rolling hills of Caroline County, Virginia, near the towns of Fredericksburg and Bowling Green is an ideal facility to hold this major national Scout jamboree.

This 76,000-acre U.S. Army facility has served as the permanent site for the national Scout jamboree since 1981. The Boy Scouts of America uses approximately 3,000 acres of land to support a city of more than 40,000 Scouts and leaders.
