PROCUREMENT
The CNS procurement unit annually purchases
approximately $15 million in goods and services to support the campus telecommunications
system and data network.
Purchases typically include electronic components, mobile network
equipment and accessories, such as cellular phones, pagers, and emergency two-way radios,
and computer equipment such as microcomputers, hubs, routers, and servers.
Other
procurements include maintenance agreements, real estate, vehicle and equipment leases,
underground, cabling and electrical construction, and software support.
