The Legend of Zelda: Trading Card Game
Rules Section

Section 6. Some of the Game Mechanics in Detail

A. Unique and Non-unique Cards

In LoZ:TCG, Characters and Items are often unique in a way that there is only one of that type of character or item. Other times, there can be certain Characters and Items that there can be more than one of their type. For example, there can be 2 or more Shop Keepers in the lands of Hyrule or Termina; however, there can only be one Master Sword. Unique cards are represented as having a   in front of their Cardtitle, while non-unique cards have nothing in front of their Cardtitle. There is an exception to the Uniqueness Rule though. There are many Fortune Tellers, Kings Knights, Old Men in the legends of Zelda. However, There is only ONE Old Man that is the Grandfather of Princess ZeldaII, while there is the Old Man who is the father of the Flute Boy. Both Characters have the same Card Title, but due to their Subtitle, are treated as separate Characters. Below is a list of Characters that determine Uniqueness by their SUBTITLE, and not TITLE:

1. Old Man
2. Fortune Teller
3. King's Knight
4. Troop Leader

B. The Legends of Zelda, Link, and Gannondorf (Ganon)

Currently, there are 4-5 different legends of Zelda as told on Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Game Boy (Regular, Color, and Advance), Nintendo64, and GameCube. In LoZ:TCG it would be kind of screwy to have 5 different Links or Zelda running around together in the lands of Hyrule, so there is a “Legend” rule as stated on Theme Cards. This rule means that when building your deck, you may only include the versions of the Main Characters included on your Theme Card. For game purposes, Link, Zelda, and Ganon are considered Main Characters. Sheik is considered to be ZeldaI for uniqueness purposes, while GannondorfI is considered GanonI and Agahnim is considered GanonII. You may include any non-Main Character you wish in your Draw Deck as long as it corresponds with your deck’s side.

C. Rupee Wallet

The Rupee Wallet is your currency for the game. You pay for cards by subtracting the card’s cost out of the Rupee Wallet. The maximum amount of Rupees in your Rupee Wallet is 10. However, there will be cards in later sets that manipulate the minimum/maximum amount of rupees in the wallet.

D. Rule of 5

You may have only up to 5 cards with the same title in your Draw Deck, except for cards that specifically say "Only 1 per deck."
NOTE: Unique Characters' or Items'  Subtitle's DO apply towards the Rule of 5. What this means is that in other CCGs (TCGs) you could only have like 4 or 5 of a certain Unique Character no matter what their Subtitle was . This means, in LoZ:TCG  you possibly could have 15 LinkII's (5 LinkII, Hyrule Legend, 5 LinkII, Courageous Archer, and 5 LinkII, Hero of the Land) in your deck if you wanted to.
