Jeff's Prayer

Dear Lord,
I come to You today with this simple, solemn prayer. That Jeff and all those who know him, love him, and have been touched by his strength may be brought closer to You through Your mercy. That Jeff may, once again, STAND and proclaim his FAITH in You; That he may WALK among his family and friends and speak of Your LOVE and of Your awesome HEALING GRACE; That he may be a shining example of the power of prayer! In Your name, these things I pray.

Current Update

Shame, Shame, Shame,.......we've been really delinquent in keeping the website up-to-date. Lots of stuff has happened since July 2002. The last we wrote, the basement was completed and Jeff loves the new space and privacy and has a great pad for friends to feel free to come over and visit. If none of you have seen it, it is very nice and comfortable. The walls are painted a nice warm color and there is a living space area to entertain in and connected is the bedroom and bathroom.

Another year older & wiser Jeff has been researching a new procedure that takes place in Bejiing. There was a guy that has Jeff's level of injury and had the procedure. He now has some tricep return and some finger movement, He is able to grip a glass and pass it back and forth from hand to hand, as well as sit up much better than before. This is only 1 month post surgery. We are excited to see how he and others progress, as the doctors said to expect maximum return for up to 18 months. You can learn more about these procedures being performed at www.sciwire.com and click on 'cure'. There is a wealth of information on this site, and the Walkers check it daily. Jeff is feeling sensation in his stomach and right leg. If you were to put pressure on it, he definitely feels it now. We are so pleased about this and look forward to more feeling returning.

The summer went by so fast even though the weather was pretty dreary. With all the rain and the hurricane, there wasn't much time to spend at the beach. Now, the family is looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas. Again, we apologize for not keeping you up-to-date.
