After crossing the river we started to climb a hill to get a birds eye view of the periyar region. | |||
| On reaching the top in the sweltering sun we were all exhausted and thoroughly enjoyed the cool in the shadow of the tree. |  The hill-top |

After taking a breather, we were all recharged and decided to proceed downhill back into the trees. Just before that we took this picture. The Periyar river can be seen in the lower right hand side. (myself in the stripped shirt) | |||
