not a creature was stirring

December 21
Hey everyone, here's a quick run down of the past week. Finally finished closing and moved out of the dorms. Hung around for a couple days. Casey got a floppy eared bunny. I bought a car. Saw Two Towers. Other boring stuff.
The bunny is so cute, but it has attitude! My car is Korean. =) A white 95 Kia Sephia. Two Towers was awesome. Just incredible.
I didn't send out my Christmas cards yet... sorry if you get one a little late!

This could go on the deep thoughts page, but it's my site, so it's going here. =)
My favorite winter memories:
After opening presents, going down to the basketball court in Hannam with Becca in the falling snow, and looking up at the sky. It felt so close, like I could touch it. I felt like I was in a snow globe, in a little magical world all my own. I even did that corny movie thing, I put my arms out and spun around, and tried to catch some snowflakes on my tongue. Then we tried to play soccer, but we couldn't see more than 2 feet in front of us for the snow so we gave up.
Getting stuck on base in the middle of a ton of snow, so the busses got cancelled, and walking back to Hannam, on the back hilly streets. It took over 2 hours with all the snowballs and sliding and falling. It normally takes about 40 from where I was.
Getting to Tracy's house with two feet of snow on the playground next to it and saying, "let's play in the snow!" and her going "yeah!!" She picked up a handful and dropped it, and went inside.
Having that huge snowball fight outside of Collier when it snowed so so hard while we were in there for a bomb threat. And hitting Mikey in the ballz.
My worst winter memory:
Making that wonderful snowman with my brother on the sidewalk in front of our apartment, then going to admire it from my balcony, only to see all of the monstrous little kids knocking it over and jumping on it!

I finished my finals today, yay! I just have to work these next three days and then I am carefree for a month! I hope it's not as boring as last years break. It shouldn't be. I'm looking forward to it.
If you email me the address you're going to be at for Christmas, I'll send you a card.
In honor of the end of the semester and winter break, there is some new stuff around the site. I try so hard to make my site interactive. Most of the pages have some kind of give or take or both. But it seems like it's only going one way. I'm trying not to get discouraged.
By the way, I hate it when I'm talking to someone, but I can't get a freaking word in!
My uterus aches.

December 9
And all I've been doing since my last post is spending my money on myself, and making my Christmas list of more things I want. (and studying)

Things I wish I could do without: consumerism and materialism. I've been trying to return to a more basic life. I think I went too far back, though. All I want to do is eat and sleep. =)
Why does money make you so happy and so empty at the same time? How can money turn people so heartless? Consume is such a sneaky word. It seems so innocent, but it's actual meaning is anything but. The dictionary given synonyms for it are "destroy", "squander", and "perish". Around the world, kids are enslaved, working for pennies a day, their lives being consumed by the greed of our "advanced" society. There are so many more things wrong with the whole situation that I didn't mention. It's just appalling.
Anyway, this upcoming week is going to be so busy. I'm not looking forward to it. I can't wait til next Sunday, the beginning of a month-long vacation. But for now, I'm going to go get my study on.

December 3
I wish I was an activist. I wish I could change the world. I wish I didn't have to take finals. I wish the future didn't matter. I wish that I didn't completely forget about having to work on Monday night--two weeks in a row. I'm so sorry CJ.

December 1
Surprise! This is my long awaited new layout, how do you like it? Sorry about the pop-up, but it just looks better without it on the page. I haven't looked at this using netscape, but I'm sure that it doesn't look right, so only use internet explorer, okay?
This weekend was pretty lonely. Lots of personal time. Del Teezie at midnight for Thanksgiving dinner. At least I cleaned my room and got some studying done. Guess what, on Friday night some kid that we didn't catch ripped the receiver off the pay phone and put it in the microwave! At 6 in the morning, no less. And a week or two ago some kids set fire to a towel, and some papers that were taped to a door, and an entire trash can's contents. It's completely ridiculous, and scary. I'm risking my life just by living here with these delinquents!
Casey came home last night. Needless to say it was a happy reunion, but it was made even better by the MEGA-DOG! Too bad it doesn't come with that guy, he's hot. The hot dog is so gross, but so good and I can't help coming back for more. Casey got me the Elvis #1 hits cd, and I'm rockin out to it. ^_^ Before anyone did anything, Elvis did everything.
So it's study week, then finals week, and then I am freeeeeee! I bet these next two weeks are going to drag by. So close, yet so far! Oh the irony of it all.
