Making a rainbow circular mask
By: Larah McElroy

Open Macromedia Flash MX and chose File, New...
Click on Flash Document.
Create two layers and call the top one text and the bottom one effect.
Insert your text on the top layer.
On the top and bottom layer make 40 frames, and create a Motion Tween by right clicking on the frames and choosing, "Create Motion Tween".
Draw a rainbow oval with no outline on the middle, on the bottom layer (first frame). On the last frame insert a keyframe and resize the oval to fit around the text.
You should see a black arrow on the bottom layer's frames. If not, don't worry. Now we are going to make a mask. Right click on the text layer and click on mask. Make sure both layers are locked and view the animation.
Once finished it should look like this, if not, play around until you have a motion tween on the bottom layer and see the circle get bigger.
