The US A's failed Italy

Mad is not the word for it!! The USA has said it will send $50,000 dollars in aid to Italy. WHAT! We can send Palestine a few million to help them blow something else up, but we can only send Italy $50,000? Italy has given the US more then 3 million for Katina and after 9/11...and this is how we say "thank-you"? This is how America responds? Just another total disappointment from this government. $50,000 dollars LL buy them squat in this extreme need of aid. The US also said it would send rescue teams if needed, but Italy declined. I would have too after the slap in the face offer of $50,000 in Aid! Like I said, Italy has sent us over 3 million in Katrina and 9/11, not to mention aid for the Desert Storm and what ever the hell else we're doing over there.

I think the US needs to step to the plate and send Italy what it needs to help rebuild, more home were lost than in Katrina and 9/11 combined. Once again I am ashamed of being a American. Harsh to say? Perhaps, but look at what our government has done to us and where we are now? We are merely pawns, we vote people in office that are supposed to do what is in the Best interest of this country......hahahahaha! Instead, we fall...not so mighty huh? <side note> now they want to cut military spending........there's a smart move.....yeah, wonderful.

$50,000!! That's it! Your right, that is slap in the face! I don't know where are government is heading? I know because I also read that we send millions to places that we have no idea what they spend it on? Let's give the rebels more gns and ammo to hurt more people, but FORBID we send a country aid money that has has massive wide spread destruction! Keep bailing out companies so they get bigger bonuses too!

I know what you mean too about being a American. I also have thought strongly about moving out of the country. I am looking for a different life style that is in a country with a different living attitude. We have gone so far off from what are fore fathers created that I don't think anyone knows what we did started with! I wish we would go back to the start, just scrap everything and start again.

It's horrible! $50,000 is a insult! I think it's sad to think that the USA is once again looking bad in the eyes of the rest of the world! We need to step up and dig deep and donate a whole lot more! Dang, take the CEO bonus's. With the world on edge and falling apart, we all need to team up and help each other out, those that are deserving!

I would love to go help dig, pass out water, help with anything! Our heart's and prayers are with them all, I just wish the United States would think the same. I hope that the re-building is swift and I can't help but wonder about the re-building cost's? If they can afford the high cost of re-building to earthquake codes? That can mre than triple the cost of building and if they are already strapped for cash, how they afford the construction cost's?
