Brittany Traits
This site is inspired by the Bittany, formerly known in the U.S. as a "Brittany Spaniel"; That name was dropped by AKC,but is still used outside of the U.S. Pictured above is our wonderful American Brittany, Jade, acquired as a pup from breeder/friend Jackie Arnold at FarOut Fields Kennels/Independent Brittany Rescue,in Dunnellion, Florida. Jade is dark orange and white and has beautiful hazel eyes. She is about 30 pounds and she is 4 years of age. Jade has a nice confirmation,as well as a good background in hunting and obedience. She has done well in obedience. We would also like to do some agility just for fun! Britts are active, loyal and athletic.

The Britt is an all-around dog with multiple talents - many have excelled in the hunting, confirmation, obedience and agility areas. They are a joy to watch in action. There aren't many sites much prettier than a Brittany on point. Many Brittanys are Dual Champions in both Field and Show rings.
The Britt has more similarities to a pointer/retriever & does not flush birds like a spaniel. The later part of the name was dropped; Brittany is the name recognized by breeders and AKC.
Brittanys love their families and enjoy the companionship of other dogs, particularly other Britts.I have heard they are normally good with children as well.Through education and exposure the Brittany should become only more popular as time goes on. There are fewer numbers in the southern-most U.S. Most Britt breeders work hard to keep the true wonderful qualities of the breed pure. We appreciate their efforts! BRITTS ROCK!! (center> ![]()
