Video Games
Mood:  vegas lucky
Now Playing: Led Zeplin
Not only do I think that platform games will put PC games out of business, but I am pretty surprised that it hasn't already happened. Throughtout my life I have only played platform games. I have tried to play PC games, but I just don't find them to be as fun. I find that the controls for platform games are better than PC games, and I just find that my overall gaming experience is more fun on platform games.

It really surprises me that PC game companies have not been already put out of business. I have never bought a computer game before, and I actually didn't know anybody who played computer games until this year. I think there is a wider variety of games for platform games than PC games. I also find it to be a pain to have to install a game each time I want to play a new game. Platform games blow PC games out of the water and that is why I think that PC games will eventually become non existent. The new breed of gamers is making the transition from platform games to PC games.

Peer to Peer File Sharing
Mood:  lazy
Now Playing: Rocky Top
As much as I like to download music I think that peer to peer file sharing should be illegal. I think that artists and record labels are selfish, but they do have a point. By downloading music for free over a peer to peer network people are stealing it. Downloading ten songs and then burning it to a CD is no different that going to Best Buy and stealing a CD. Peer to peer file sharing is also costing the record companies millions of dollars. People would just download the music and burn it to a CD for free. There was at least three years where I didn't buy a CD, but I burned about 30. It was nice while it lasted, but it's wrong. I know if I was an artist and people were downloading my music for free, I would be mad too. If people steal were stealing CDs from a store there wouldn't even be a debate over whether or not they were guilty of stealing. So why should downloading music from a peer to peer network be any different.

Government Control of the Internet
Mood:  lazy
Now Playing: Hail to the Victors
If there is one thing that I have noticed about the government, it's that the reason they say they are doing something and the actual reason why they are doing something are usually completely different. I don't believe that the government should have the right read people e-mails and monitor their online activity. I understand there are things that go on over the internet that are against the law and should be stopped, but if the government is allowed to do this then where does the line stop. What stops the government from video taping are every move? If you have seen the movie "Enemy of the State" you know where I'm coming from.
I don't think that the government has a whole lot of control over the internet, and that is why I think they want access to peoples e-mails. There are a lot of crimes committed over the internet and I'm sure this bothers the government, but I don't think we should give away our personal privacy.
Personal information isn't safe anywhere. If a person wants to steal somebody's personal information off the internet they could do as quick as they could snap their fingers. However, your personal information could just as easily be stolen from a check you write, a credit card, and even your mail. The reward of stealing over the internet is a lot more and there is a lot more to be stolen. The internet is not as safe as people think it is. It's really the luck of the draw. Will your info be stolen or will it be some other random person's info.

Computer Viruses
Mood:  irritated
Now Playing: Rocky Top
Google worm targets AOL, Yahoo
This virus the Perl.Santy.B was being spread by usinf the results from Google searches. They searched for websites with a vulnerable version of
phpBB software. It would then go to those websites, delete what was there, and then write something new. Google has since fixed the problem, but newer versions of the virus keep coming out and the makers started using AOL and Yahoo search engines to spread the virus.

Bawdy holiday worm preys on prurience
The worm W32/Wurmark-D is being distributed by offering a picture o naked people. Once on your computer it finds all addresses and will forward itself to them. The worm finds all anti-virus software on you computer and immobilizes any security software on your computer. This worm has caused major problems to people who have recieved it.

Christmas card virus 'ataks'
There is an Atak.H virus being spread by disguising itself as a Christmas card. The virus then forwards itself to all people whose addresses are on the computer.

I don't think that virus writers should be protected under the first ammendment. Saying that is outrageous. All virus writers are trying to do is cause problems for people. Viruses are a pain in the neck. Writing viruses is just as bad as putting them into use. There is only one reason for writing a virus and that is to use and to terrorize people's computers. It's like saying that it is okay to grow drugs as long as you won't use them. Yeah Right! Their really is no purpose for them. This would be like saying that drug dealers should be protected under the first ammendment. Only things that have a purpose and won't be used for malicious work should be protected under the first ammendment.

I personally have been attacked by a virus. I found it to be a major problem and it was very frusturating. It deleted most of the files and programs that were on my computer. It caused a lot of problems.

Da Bulls
Mood:  d'oh
Now Playing: We are the Champions
The Bulls are returning to glory. They've won four in a row and are now only four games under five hundred. The return to the Jordanesque years is back. Hinrich is going to lead the Bulls to the Championship. ALso you have to love the hustle of Andres Nocioni. Somebody hustling in the NBA, pretty amasing.

If I were Angelo: Draft Braylon Edwards
If I were McKasskey: Fire Gerry Angelo and then hang myself for also killing the bears.

Lloyd Carr
Mood:  on fire
Now Playing: Hail to the Victors
Lloyd Carr should be fired. Michigan should be a top five team based on the talent that they have but every year under him they choke in big games. They are also upset in games that they sould win like at ND and Ohio State. Michigan should have an offense like USC. This year they had as much talent as USC. The only difference is that Norm Chow knows how to call plays and Lloyd doesn't.

BCS
Mood:  on fire
Why isn't there a playoff in college football? Is there a real reason behind it? I doubt it. I hate all the College Presidents and ADs. A playoff system would be the greatest thing in the world.

NFL Draft
Now Playing: Chicago Bears Fight Song
Jerry Angelo you better draft Mike Williams or Braylon Edwards. If you don't I hope Mike McCasskey fires you because you are a terrible GM. Since you have taken over we have only made the playoffs once, and the Bears offense is always last or near the bottom of the league. All blame should fall onto your shoulders. You are terrible.

BCS
Mood:  on fire
Now Playing: Rocky Top
The BCS is a disgrace to sports it is the dumbest idea ever. I think it was developed by a bunch of hillbilly waterboys who wanted to be involved in college football. The world would be better off with out waterboys. There just a waste of life.

Vince Young is really fast, so you have to tackle him the first time. Please explain this to Jim Herman.
