The Armory Military Museum and Event Center, Inc.

This beautiful Armory, located in Haskell, Oklahoma, USA (a mere 30 minutes south of Tulsa), was built in 1936 by the WPA.

Since then, it has survived a rich history: in the early 1940's, it was a prison camp for Nazi POWs; in the 70's it was a skating rink; a fire department and then a zink plating facility for a few months in the mid-80's. The Armory stood empty throughout the 90's, suffering major vandalism, but it is finding life anew as a non-profit military museum (501c6), with facilities for hosting private gatherings and public events.

As you could imagine, repairs and restoration of this magnitude are very expensive. Feduciary donations to the Museum will make it possible to preserve our American heritage, show our continued national pride and patriotism, and give our fallen brothers and sisters of the US Armed Forces a place where they can be honored for their noble sacrifice.

Now it seems this may become yet another victim of the current economy here in the USA. Ours has become a desparate crusade to save the Armory again. Our regular funding is gone and now we must turn to you, the American public and ask you to help us save the Armory. Without this building, the museum cannot honor our veterans, and what message does this send to our children? That it is OK to forget and stop caring? How un-American! Please donate as much as you can to help us save this monument of American spirit and provide a home where we can properly honor our veterans.
Thank you for fighting to keep the spirit alive!
