The villa Al Balocco is situated just 5km
from the picturesque medieval town of Barga, 520m above sea level.
The views are quite spectacular and tranquility
comes as standard in this mountainous region of Northern Tuscany. Not only can
the striking Duomo of Barga be clearly seen from here but also many of the
characteristic towns which nestle at the foothills of the Apuane Alps and its
most
dominating peak, the Pania.
This area is also a renowned gastronomic paradise.
Much of the surrounding area is circled by olive groves, vines and forests.
