Challenge 1: A travel piece
Have you ever read those magazines in airplanes?

Someone has to write those articles. Why not you?

ANA has a website for its in-flight magazine. If your article is selected not only will it be published, but you might also get some money for it.

You can write:

• A travel story about a town in Japan or overseas
• A human interest story about a real Japanese family of artisans
• A story about some other aspect of Japanese culture, traditional or modern
• A work of fiction somehow related to Japan

Challenge 2: A Website
Create a website about a topic that interests you. Your website may include some links to other sites, but it should also have plenty of original information in English.

Challenge 3: Your speciality

What is your major? What are you studying? Have you ever written a paper about your research in English?

Here is the chance to write about it and have it checked by a native speaker. You might even get it published in an academic journal sometime in the future.
