William S. Clark was the Father of Hokkaido University. His saying, lofty ambitious has become the spirit of the University. In fact, there are five statues of Dr. Clark in the campus but not so many people know that. The most famous one, his bust made in 1926 then re-made in 1948 is located in the corner of the central lawn. Please take a photo with him.
