This
is the Sapporo City Photo Library. It was the first public place in Hokkaido to
exhibit photos about history, culture and customs. Its purpose is to collect,
order and conserve a lot of photos taken in Sapporo as a valuable means to
teach the next generation about their past.
You
can see a permanent exhibition, which shows a lot of photos about Sapporo a
long time ago. Youfll remember what the city looked like, how you lived when
you were a child. A lot of photos remind you of the good old days. This exhibition
is taking place until March 31, 2004. Some photos are changed periodically, so
you can see other scenes of Sapporo. You can have a good time with your
memories here.
You
can also display photos taken by yourself at the Sapporo city photo Library. This
place was built as a photo gallery for everyone who lived in Sapporo, and
wanted to display their photos. So you can display your pieces here. When you
want to exhibit your pictures, it may be a good place to go.
