This is Nowaki Hijikata. He is 19 years old. He came to Hokkaido last year from Shizuoka prefecture (famous for Mt. Fuji) . He is in the faculty of Agriculture. He studies biochemicals. His hobby is playing the piano and riding motorcycles. He often goes home by motorcycle. He has two sisters. They live in his hometown with his parents. His mother is good at making her own bacon! He also has two dogs in his hometown.

It is too hard to live in Antarctica. That was my first impression. The pictures of Antarctica are white. There is no green, always white. And the sentence “When the fog comes in, it becomes difficult to see the horizon and sometimes even your own footsteps are invisible” surprised me. In fact I have a negative feeling even in winter of Sapporo.

             But the sight may be very beautiful and mysterious. There is nothing but white land spread out wherever you look. I would like to see the sight once. When I read the homepage, I noticed my image is wrong. Life in Antarctica is not so bad. The food may be good. There is some entertainment and the chance to study is worthwhile. I respect them. Now I’m interested in Antarctica. I would like to visit there, if I get the chance. But two weeks is enough.
