Nana's Braided Rugs is solely owned and operated by Marybeth Hamilton (Nana) in Northeast Oklahoma's 'Green Country'. Nana has no employees. She takes great pride in the quality and appearance of her work and is not interested in any attempt to mass produce and wholesale her braided rugs as other braided rug makers. Each one of her beautiful, hand crafted, rugs is lovingly created by Nana from 100% American made yarns.
Rather than braiding strips of fabric as grandma once did, multiple strands of yarn are braided. This produces a tighter, stronger, and much more durable braid. It also provides the opportunity to blend and combine colors which enhances Nana's artistic ability to create uniquely beautiful rugs from her array of colors.You may choose from Nana's wide selection of rugs in stock or you may order a custom rug made to your specified size and colors. You may allow Nana to design your custom rug based on your specified dimensions and selected colors or you may create your own design with or without Nana's assistance. Nana can also create your beautiful, color-coordinated, custom rug based on samples of fabric, wall paper, paint, or pictures.
Nana welcomes visitors to her little studio , so if you are in the area, please drop in and visit. Have a cup of coffee and watch Nana create her beautiful rugs. You will find other braided items hand crafted by Nana, such as place mats, chair pads, table runners and hot pads. Please call first to make sure that Nana is in and to get directions.
