Ready Set Learn from Discovery Kids is a grouping of educational episodes centered on teaching Emotional Intelligence. These are didactic films packed with significant life lessons are meant particulary for children ages 2 – 5.

The Discovery Kids includes shows, TV programs, a website, fun and games and videos. Cursor on the website is a child pleasing shark mouth packed with nice sharp pointy teeth. Bindi Erwin is featured on the home page of the website.

Featured on the programs are popular characters Paz, Wilbur, and the Save-Ums! They are also featured in these instructional films presenting amusement and edifying escapades in which life skills deemed to be compulsory for a vigorous approach to life are presented for little folks.

Paz Penguin is the star in episodes meant to initiate the impressions centering on emotional intelligence. meticulousness, putting into practice and not giving up is emphasized in an episode entitled -Frisbee Dog- as Paz and his companions Pig and Dog play with Frisbees and attain an understanding per the subject of elemental tutoring on the subject of practice and not becoming beleaguered with resignation when success is hard to achieve. Learning to depend on friends and gaining potency from them is always a good lesson learned early.

Wilbur Calf is the conductor for Little People and their foundation in Language Arts work. Wilbur and his buddies toil together, the reading train keeps rolling, learning takes place. He finds volumes to guide learning concerning numbers or airplanes, or trees, or animals.

The Save-Ums are natty computer-generated whatums and their job is to help others with their predicaments through the use of shrewdness and mental power. When the Save-Ums are needed an emergency call is sent to their headquarters and away they go. One incident in particular popular with little people; finds the Save-Ums helping a crowd of Spanish-speaking ants that are stuck on a teeter-totter. –Operation Seesaw- provides prospect for introduction of the concept of balance.

Center of attention for Vol 1 Ready, Set, Learn! Advances life skills including exuberance, conscientiousness and flexibility; elements which all humans must have to live more triumphant happy lives, and are skills little people must get going for them to aid them toward a lifelong love of wisdom, verve and wellness.

Every volume of the set includes a plentiful number of episodes from the popular Ready, Set, Learn! Shows featuring Paz, Wilbur and The Save-Ums! Included on each DVD are bonus episodes along with the non bonus. Peep and the big Wide World is one of the more popular among the younger set. Included with each DVD is a finger puppet, Paz is one, and an activity book for parents, as well as a parent’s guide: Emotional Intelligence.

The DVDs, overflowing with liveliness, puppets, melody and accomplishment, are geared toward the younger set, on the other hand beginning first graders do get pleasure from viewing them too. During the first weeks of the new term Osage County First Grade enjoys taking one of the DVDs home for viewing with parents.

I find using the DVDs with whole group is not as meaningful an activity as is allowing the kids to take them home, or to take to view alone with headphones using the classroom computer. Happy to recommend.

Discover Kids Ready Set Learn DVD is an instructional disc intended for use by parents and teachers. Each DVD includes several installments from the well-liked series.

Promoting life skills children need including buoyancy, perseverance, confidence and flexibility; the DVDs promote concepts designed to promote wellness, emotional intelligence and mental health.

Paz the penguin, Wilbur the calf and a variety of computer critters known as the Save-Ums are featured on discs packed with entertaining and edifying activities devised to pass on the information needed for living life to the utmost.

From Discover Kids comes a range of episodes each designed to engage Little People in simple life skill concepts. Each installment is customized toward introduction of a particular developmental need centered upon problem solving and emotional wellness.

Paz Penguin is the lead character found in installments intended to promote thinking centered on emotional intelligence. Attention to detail, relevance and not giving up are some of the concepts introduced. Little people particularly have the benefit from segments such as -Red Scooter- in which Paz is thrilled to be growing taller, something important to Osage County First Grade as well, and his getting an opportunity at riding his dad's red scooter all by himself at the same time as he is learning important lessons regarding patience and maturity.

Wilbur Calf and his aptitude for reading and being able to locate just the right book for each circumstance makes him an ideal role model for Little People and their emergent Language Arts skills. As Wilbur and his comrades toil together, their reading skills and other Language Arts abilities just keep improving. Wilbur always seems to know the perfect books to help guide learning whether the need is something concerning animals, airplanes, and trees, or something to do.

The Save-Ums are ingenious child pleasing, computer-generated –whatums- and their job is to lend a hand to others having problems. Through the use of sagacity and mental prowess The Save-Ums can always be depended upon for providing just the right touch. Whenever the Save-Ums are needed; a crisis call is sent to their headquarters and away they go.

An episode, well-liked by little people, finds the Save-Ums helping -Untangle That Octopus- prompting the Save-Ums to set out in their underwater craft to disentangle their octopus comrade from the jumble of knots she fashioned with her shoelaces. Giggles abound when this episode is the one being viewed.

Focusing on teaching Emotional Intelligence, these instructive programs grant important life skill lessons to Little People. The DVDs are useful in Osage County First Grade where Little People take the discs to the computer in the back of the room, don headphones and focus on the lesson.
