Local Residence come to the rescue
Two St. John's residents were pulled from the water on the weekend when their
canoe overturned in Long Harbour. RCMP say two cabin owners went into the water
up to their necks and then threw some rope to the men in the canoe. There were no
injuries. The incident happened Saturday evening.

when their shrimp boat sank about
fifty miles off St. Anthony early today.
